    Nice work and great videos! I’m curious, how many pads to you need/use to polish a whole car? If you’re cleaning the pad after 1 or 2 panels. Like are you using multiple or just the same pad but keeping it clean.

    EVERYONE! I clay barred my car yesterday for the very first time, and I was not that impressed. Yes, the clay took off a bunch of after spray when I spray painted my calipers red, but it didn’t do anything else. I guess I was expecting the clay bar to get rid of all the tiny rock chips in my front bumper as well as other contaminants since I never got clear bra 😅

    This is what a near end game pressure washer setup looks like. Yall can save your money with this setup. Grip: sgs28 for around $70 or if you don’t need swivel the sg28 is $34 and a great low budget option is the harbor freight stubby grip at $25. For the tips all the mtm aqualine ones with the rubber are about $30 but you can get bare 40 degree tips anywhere for about $5. And a great hose would be anything flexzilla with the 50 foot one being about $40. Unless your pressure washer is wall mounted you don’t need more than 50 feet and anything less will have you hauling your pressure washer everywhere. Here’s my ideal setup if you’re just starting and want a super low budget build: Ryobi 1800psi 1.2gpm electric pressure washer $100, harbor freight stubby grip $25, flexzilla 50’ hose $40, and a nozzle kit from harbor freight for $20 totaling $235.

    Now.. I’m gonna ask a very stupid question. Doesn’t the vehicle have to be washed, prior to paint correcting? I see that you sprayed, I’m gonna presume, some quick detailer spray or touch-less wash spray.

    so rinseless still requires a pre-rinse? what if I dont have access to water? Live in an apartment

    • @curtisbender1945
      @curtisbender1945 3 дні тому

      Rinseless wash ONLY requires a pre rinse if you have excessive dirt or dust on the vehicle. A week of accumulated dust from sitting is likely fine to go without a pre rinse. A week of sitting by a construction site with thick dust or even mud from the road will require a pre rinse first. Obviously use your best judgement, but generally a weeks worth of dust accumulation is not enough to require a pre rinse. Personally I wouldn’t exceed that, that’s my personal max. Once I see road grime or even salt, I’ll do a pre rinse.

    Let me save you some time. Get a McKillans stubby gun for 50 bucks. Get an Uberflex/Flexzilla hose for 50 bucks. Skip the $40 rubber spray tip... you shouldn't be anywhere close enough to your paint using a pressure washer to "accidentally" hit the car.

      Yvan compare slow speed rotary vs high speed DA. If you compare DA in speed 4 and rotary speed 4, the rotary will cut way faster

    • @RichardsWorld
      @RichardsWorld 12 днів тому

      @@trianggaindralukmana2184 there are way too many variables. You need the same machines as them, same compounds, same pads, etc. The size of the pad makes a difference also. What he says is he uses a DA for cutting p and a rotary for polishing. No need to say speed this, speed that.

    • @trianggaindralukmana2184
      @trianggaindralukmana2184 12 днів тому

      @@RichardsWorld you dont understand enough what i say. U have to see the video yvan and colleagues proof the DA 25 mm burn faster paint than rotary and after y see the video you could understand what i said

    • @RichardsWorld
      @RichardsWorld 12 днів тому

      @trianggaindralukmana2184 well, I think only a professional would want s 25mm. I only do my cars, or family and friends, so I wouldn't buy such a thing. I gave my rotary to a friend and I'm happy with my DA. I bought the Milwaukee 15 mm because I already have all the batteries and stuff. It's good enough for me. I also recently bought the 3 inch Mirka because it's really quiet and I can use it late at night without disturbing anyone. Even though Yvan prefers a rotary for the final polish, I'm not going to buy another one. All of these detailers have their own style, but I think Yvan has done a lot of testing and fine tuning to see what works best. For him anyways. I think anyone can get great results with only a rotary or DA.
